WTF?

June 3rd, 2009

Still keeping a low profile here in LA… Industry commitments, etc.
On the scooter front, GT200 was in shop for service for six months with a f#*!d engine. After new ownership at shop, bike was returned with an open engine case and a bucket of parts. No explanation, no work order, no shit. It’s for [...]

Happy New Year.

January 29th, 2009

The economy and work projects have put scooting on hold, at least for West Coast operations. Expect updates as we get them. New president in the White House. Thank Christ.

As a black Christmas approaches, we wish all our friends and frenemies a Happy Holiday season and safe riding. Hope to see you all next year as projects are completed and economy recovers. Be well.

Many Miles (Kilometers)

September 8th, 2008

Stacy and Brian are back in the U.S., recovering from Jet Lag. London, to Isle of Wight, to Paris and back. We logged more than 900 miles (1450 km) on one Vespa with all of our gear. And we still managed to cruise at more than 65mph (105km). More pics to come. Here’s our route. [...]

Isle of Wight 2008

On the road…

August 27th, 2008

Oi, oi!
Sorry for this delayed post. We survived a brilliant Isle of Wight and made it to Paris. Out of internet contact but photos and stories soon!

All Aces, and all wet.

August 20th, 2008

Yesterday, we set off around the corner for Retrospective Scooters, a shop we’ll have do the work on Stacy’s bike in the future. There we met owner Nile and his dog Hector. Our bikes will be in good hands. From there we rode to Islington to Dalston Motorcycles, where I passed my MOT inspections, [...]

Plan B…

August 19th, 2008

Monday began with another zip through London to the East End in search of Scooter Emporium, where we’d booked our service appointments with Marco. Stacy’s scooter, still stalling out, was the first one checked over. The list of necessary work was extensive. It seems hers will require more TLC (and Pound Sterling) than we can [...]

Bar Italia Scooter Club

August 17th, 2008

Today we finally caught up on sleep (Thanks to a great many pints), got some Nando’s Chicken, and rode into the West End to meet up with the Bar Italia Scooter Club. It was a fantastic ride to Wapping and then a brilliant and slightly soggy ride through London back up to St. John’s Wood [...]
